Sweet and Spicy Beef Jerky

Sweet and spicy beef jerky, sugar first and fire second.

A sweet glaze rolls in easy, then the pepper catches up and warms the finish without ever punishing you. Tender beef and big flavor, the kind of bag that keeps you reaching back in for one more strip. Just enough heat to wake you up on a slow drive, not enough to send you looking for the water jug.

Call it ride food, river food, or half-time food. Keep one in the cooler for the float trip and one in the truck for the drive home, because this is the flavor that gets passed around until the bag is flat.

• Sweet and spicy beef jerky for the cooler
• High protein snack with a little heat
• River trip and tailgate fuel
