DoxieGuy BBQ out of Hickory, North Carolina built this one on a family recipe. Apple and honey sweetness lead the way and it never turns up the burn, so it is the sauce for the whole table, kids included. Smooth, sweet, and easy to pour, it reads more like a glaze than a heavy pit sauce.

Use it anywhere you want sweet without smoke or fire. Glaze pork and ribs in the last stretch so the apple caramelizes, brush it over grilled chicken, or spoon it onto a sandwich. It even swaps in for pizza sauce when you want something sweeter than the usual jar.
